It is also known for its popular entertainment district and culinary scene, centered on both 18th Street and Columbia Road.
In the 21st century, Adams Morgan has been a focus of urban redevelopment and become one of Washington's most gentrifying neighborhoods. Notable local businesses include the famed live music club Madam's Organ Blues Bar and the Michelin-starred restaurant Tail Up Goat, among others.
